In this resource, you’ll find three info cards per page, each approximately 5″ x 3″. To use year after year, laminate the cards after you print and cut out.

Word Builder Puzzles | U.S. Presidents

Challenge students’ critical thinking skills and knowledge of the U.S. Presidents with these 5 Word Builder puzzles with a U.S. Presidents theme!

Each puzzle contains 3 pages of work.

Students are given a set of letters (example A, B, E, H, I, J, M, N, O, R, S, D) and then several different tasks to complete with them.
* First, they are asked to complete the names of U.S. Presidents by filling in the missing letters (example: J_ _ e_ _ _ _ r_ e / Answer: James Monroe).
* Then, they will be asked to complete a series of unrelated words with missing letters (example: _ or _ e / Answer: horde).
* Finally, there are a few additional sections that allow students to create their own words, divide the words already completed into word families, by number of letters and/or by vowel sounds)

US Presidents | Fun Activities for 5th-8th Grade Classrooms

Here is a resource filled with fun activities for students to use whenever they are studying the U.S. Presidents or for Presidents day!

Activities include a word search, an acrostic poetry page, presidential trivia, a ‘Which President’ worksheet, two picture graphs (Washington and Lincoln) and report / notebooking pages.

Here are just two examples of the FUN type of activities/questions your students will encounter…

  • Presidential Trivia (14 total questions) – Example:
    Question #5 – “At 43 years of age, ___ was the youngest president who was elected, although, at 42, _____ was the youngest president who was inaugurated, after William McKinley was assassinated. ____ was the oldest president when he left office at 77 years of age.”
  • Which President? (40 total questions) – Example:
    Question #19 – “_____Nicknamed “Old Rough and Ready”, he died 16 months into his term.

Great for any classroom around Presidents Day in February (or) in a Government / Civics class (or) American History class anytime of the year. Answer keys are included!!

This valentine themed resource has 5 different sets of memory / concentration card games and can be used for K4, Kindergarten and 1st grade.

  • Set 1: Match the pictures (Pictures only)
  • Set 2: Images that must be matched based on the number of items on each card
  • Set 3: Match a number card with a card that shows that many items on it
  • Set 4: Match the heart to the correct color card
  • Set 5: Match the words (Words only)

Use to reinforce matching skills, counting and number recognition skills, color naming, and reading theme related words. Use again and again. Laminate before cutting out to make these sets last for years!

Day 10: 14 Days of Valentine’s Day Themed Teaching Resources

These worksheets will help students learn colors and color words (red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple) and shapes and shape names (circle, oval, square, triangle, diamond and rectangle) while practicing fine motors skills through tracing and coloring. (Includes 22 worksheets)

Because this resource is about color, all but 4 pages will use colored ink to print. If you’d like to save on the cost of printing, print once and laminate. Students can then use wipe off markers to complete!
